18-05-2010 - MSW’s output in April
JSC “MSW” produced 48,307 tonnes of steel billets and 47,165 tonnes of rolled products in April. In the first four months, JSC “MSW” produced 132,442 tonnes of steel billets and 125,032 tonnes of rolled products.
Total shipments in April made up 51,509 tonnes of which 14,515 tonnes were to the CIS destinations and 36,994 to the non-CIS destinations, 31% and 69% respectively. The high-end grade shipments made up 10,692 tonnes.
Shipments in the first four months totalled 134,306 tonnes of finished products, of which 79,902 tonnes were shipped to the non-CIS destinations and 49,269 tonnes to the CIS markets, representing 62% and 38% respectively. Special quality steel products made up 31,538 tonnes.
06-05-2010 - JSC Moldova Steel Works resumes full production
JSC Moldova Steel Works (MMZ) is going to be back in full production of rebar and wire rod from May, 2010 onwards.
In the crisis conditions, MMZ could maintain its highly skilled staff and up-to-date level of steel production technologies that allows to resume full-scale production of steel products.
The compelling factor for the top management to revert to the full rate of operation was the sound financial standing achieved by the plant.
Since early 2010 MMZ has managed to ensure stable utilities and raw materials supplies, timely shipments of steel products to local and export markets, all that guarantees not only continuous operation of the plant despite the global economic downturn but also allows the company to return to pre-crisis output levels.
20-04-2010 - MMZ’s output in March
JSC Moldova Steel Works produced 46,571 tonnes of steel billets and 42,815 tonnes of rolled products in March. Its total output in the first quarter made up 84,135 tonnes of steel billets and 77,867 tonnes of rolled products.
Shipments in March amounted to 46,196 tonnes of steel products, of which 26,697 were shipped to the non-CIS destinations and 19,499 tonnes to the CIS markets, accounting for 58% and 42% respectively. Special quality steel products made up 14,664.012 tonnes.
Shipments in the first quarter totalled 82,797 tonnes of finished products, of which 48,043 tonnes were shipped to the non-CIS destinations and 34,754 tonnes to the CIS markets, representing 58% and 42% respectively. Special quality steel products made up 20,221.137 tonnes.
12-03-2010 - MSW’s output in February
JSC "MSW" produced 37564 tonnes of steel billets and 28633 tonnes of rolled products in February, including 9559.487 tonnes of bars and 19073.429 of rods.
Total shipments in February made up 25481 tonnes of which 11792 tonnes were to the CIS destinations and 13689 to the non-CIS destinations, 46% and 54% respectively. The high-end grade shipments made up 3397.159 tonnes.
In the first two months, JSC "MSW" produced 37564 tonnes of steel billets and 35052 tonnes of rolled products. Up to 36601 tonnes of steel products were shipped: 15255 to the CIS markets and 21346 to the non-CIS markets. The high-end grade shipments made up 5557.125 tonnes in the first two months.

JSC "MSW" produced 6,419.0 tonnes of rolled products in January, including 275.863 tonnes of bars and 6,143.58 tonnes of rods.
06-11-2009 - MSW’s output in October
JSC “MSW” produced 73,172 tonnes of steel billets and 65,638 tonnes of rolled products in October, including 28,647.21 tonnes of bars and 36,990.5 of rods.
Total shipments in October made up 55,357 tonnes of which 24,752 were to the CIS destinations and 30,605 to the non-CIS destinations, 45% and 55% respectively. The high-end grade shipments made up 11,435 tonnes.
In the first ten months, JSC “MSW” produced 325,515 tonnes of steel billets and 338,736 tonnes of rolled products. Up to 328,434 tonnes of steel products were shipped – 161,611 to the CIS markets and 166,823 to the non-CIS markets. The high-end grade shipments made up 44,941 tonnes in the first ten months.
25-06-2009 - MMZ resumed its operation
As it was earlier expected, since 22nd of June the MMZ’ main production facilities have resumed manufacturing of steel and rolled products. The electric arc furnace (EAF-2) in Electric Steel Melting Shop (ESMS) was switched on 22nd June at 16 hrs local time, and the Bar & Rod Mill (BRM) started running on 23rd June at 10 hrs. As of 24th June MMZ produced 2,556 t of steel and 464 t of long products.
19-06-2009 - FC “Iscra-Stal” is the top three in the Championship of Moldova
For the first time in their history, FC "Iskra-Stal" came in the top three in the National Division. On the 11th of June this football club from Rybnitsa have got their bronze medals of the Championship of Moldova. If the major hall of the community centre in Rybnitsa had the size of a playground, it could probably have enough room for all who came to hail and greet the squad.
The award ceremony was a great opportunity to learn a lot of interesting details about the team and coaching staff. The ceremony was widely supported by the squad's major sponsors: JSC "Moldova Steel Works", Agro-Lyukka LLC, AVTO-RED, TransWorldTechnology, Sports and Tourism Agency.
The President of the Football Association of Moldova Pavel Ciobanu and the Competitions Director Piotr Soltanici came to Rybnitsa to congratulate FC "Iskra-Stal" with the achievements and to award the team with bronze medals and the Bronze Cup. When speaking at the ceremony, Pavel Ciobanu outlined that FC "Iscra-Stal" is a team in the National Division who has scores of fans. The hard work and efforts of the team, coaching staff and managers of the club, their unity secured them the 3rd place in the Championship of Moldova, he said.
Mr Platonov, Head of Administration of Rybnitsa and Rybnitsa District handed letters of commendation over to the team. Warm words and best wishes to the squad were said that evening by the President of the Club Mr Andrey Yudin (General Director of JSC "Moldova Steel Works"), the Chairman of the Club Mr.Ilia Freidkin (Director on Economics of JSC "Moldova Steel Works") and the Executive Director Mr Vasily Raico.
Among numerous gifts the club received a set of video equipment to record their matches and trainings to analyse weak points thus improving the performance of the team. Now they must spare no effort to benefit from their achievements as they work their way through UEFA European League qualifying.
Let's hope that very soon international football fans will be searching the map of Europe trying to locate the small town of Rybnitsa on it, the ground of FC "Iskra-Stal".
